About

I am a computer tech/system administrator living in Montreal, Canada.  My main interests include computers, fantasy novels, RPGs, metal music, and Everquest II.

I am a former Amiga developper, having released roughly half a dozen tools for the AmigaOS platform during the 90s.  After taking a long break from software development due to lack of time, I have over the past few years worked on a few varied projects (see the list on the left menu).

My latest project is Asuswrt-Merlin, a custom firmware for Asus routers (Focusing on their high-end, Broadcom-based routers).

Interests:

Music: Dream Theater, Epica, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Nightwish, Testament and many more - I listen to a lot of stuff.

Movies: Not a big movie watcher, but the Lord of the Ring trilogy, are probably my favorites.

TV: Angel, Babylon 5, The Simpsons, and most sci-fi shows that get cancelled mid-season by clueless network executives (Firefly, Crusade, Dresden Files, Dollhouse ...  I must have a curse when it comes to TV series.)

Books: The Dresden Files series, Song of Ice and Fire series, the Mistborn trilogy, most books from Neil Gaimann, Brandon Sanderson, Tracy Hickmans and Margareth Weis.

Computer games: Everquest II, the Elder Scrolls series, Planescape: Torment, the Wing Commander games have been my favorites over time.

Food: Anything that doesn't require too much work to cook
