RosterMaster Stand Alone 4.5.0

Rostermaster Stand Alone v4.5.0 is now available!  Just like its younger sibbling, the two main novelties are the addition of custom fields, and integration with DKP management applications.  This release also integrates a couple of fixes, including some important ones: newer characters might fail being added to the roster as their character ID had grown too large to fit in the database, and all EQ2Players pages being moved to everquest2.com (preventing RMSA from updating).  Therefore this update can be considered as mandatory if you want RMSA to work properly.  Click on "Read more" for the details.

LOTRoster 1.4.0 - issues with new installations

There was a bug in the released 1.4.0 version that prevented LOTRoster from properly creating its database when doing a brand new installation (which would result in an "Unable to determine last update time" error).

The 1.4.0 download on my website was updated with a fixed version of rmadmin.php - I recommend that people who already downloaded 1.4.0 re-download the updated archive (it is named lotroster140a.zip), and replace rmadmin.php with the copy from the updated archive.

Anyone who tried to do a new installation and ran into the issue: once you updated with the fixed version, simply return to the administration interface (http://www.yoursite.com/lotroster/rmadmin.php), and click once again on "Initialize database" to properly create the database.  ONLY do so if it's a new installation, as this will erase any existing roster data if you already had a working installation.

LOTRoster 1.4.0

I am happy to announce the availability of LOTRoster 1.4.0!  The two biggest changes in this version are the addition of custom fields, and the ability to import DKP data from an external application (EQDKP and EQDKP-Plus currently supported).  Click on "Read more" for details.

Roster development news

I have recently resumed work on my two roster projects.  Two major features are in the process of being implemented:  Custom Fields, and integration with external DKP management applications.

PayPal donations are now accepted

In the past, quite a few persons using my projects have expressed interest in donating through PayPal.  I have decided to add a PayPal Donation button on the left side of the site for those who wishes to do so.

This doesn't change the fact that all the projects I host on this website (at this point) are still entirely and totally FREE for personal use.  This is merely if you feel you must give something back in return, which is now possible.

RosterMaster Stand Alone 4.4.1

A recent update to the EQ2Players website broke RosterMaster Stand Alone's HTML parser.  Version 4.4.1 is being released with an updated parser to resolve the issue.

Changes in 4.4.1 (6-Apr-2010)

  • FIXED: HTML parse error due to an EQ2Players update.

RosterMaster Stand Alone 4.4.0

RosterMaster StandAlone v4.4.0 is now available.  This release adds support for the latest Everquest II expansion - Sentinel's Fate.

Changes:

  • IMPROVED: Added support for level 81-90.
  • IMPROVED: 9th color added for the charts.  Don't forget to update your configuration.
  • FIXED: Logged character link of removed members was incorrect.

RosterMaster Stand Alone 4.3.0

RosterMaster Stand Alone v4.3.0 is now available.  This update mostly deals with the recently revamped EQ2Players website changes.  This update is mandatory for users of previous versions, as they will not be able to obtain updated data from EQ2Players.

Changes in 4.3.0:

  • IMPROVED: Changed char/guild profile links to point to the new EQ2Players pages.
  • IMPROVED: Guild Summary info are now parsed from the new EQ2Players HTML page.
  • IMPROVED: Path handling in the phpBB auth module should be more robust (phpBB doesn't validate whether paths are configured with or without trailing slashes).
  • FIXED: Parse error when updating due to changes to the EQ2Players website.
  • NERFED: No longer points to the properly localized EQ2Players profile (EQ2Players no longer relies on the URL path to determine the display language)

RosterMaster Stand Alone 4.2.0 Hotfix for updated EQ2Players

The revised version of EQ2Players pushed live today has had some changes that prevented RosterMaster Stand Alone from properly parsing the HTML Guild summary (Average Member Level was changed for AverageMemberLevel on the Guild Summary page).

I have put together a quick hotfix to work around thie issue (by converting this field on-the-fly at parse time).  Download the attached hotfix archive, and unpack it on top of your RMSA 4.2.0 installation, replacing both files with the updated ones.

If you are still using an older version of RMSA, you will have to upgrade to 4.2.0 first, then apply this hotfix on top of it.

This hotfix is still accessing pages from the old version of EQ2Players.  I will try to find some time in the coming weeks to adapt RMSA to parse data from the new version of EQ2Players instead.
