Anna Nichols was first discovered wandering on the street, confused, following Sky as she had sensed something that aroused her curiosity in him. Sky sensed that she was recently Awaken, and decided to bring her within the Cabal.

She quickly exhibited unusual skills in manipulation of matter. She was then instrumental in obtaining the land where Zatanna's house was formerly built, having "produced" the missing money to buy it. She and the rest of the Cabal then built a house on that land.

Anna is a quite unusual person. She mostly keep to herself, acting almost as some ghost inhabiting the house. But when people meet her, she displays a strong character, not allowing anybody to make a fool of her, often even on the verge of being plainly aggressive. She spends most of her time on the third floor, manipulating matter in her home-made forge, rarely accompaning the rest of the Cabal. For some reason however, she decided to join the Verbena, studying under the tutorship of the Verbena's Old Mother. She made impressive progress over the course of a few months, her studies occupying the rest of her free time.

Anna felt crushed as she learned the death of Sky. The Cabal rarely saw the two of them talking, but some suspect that she was learning from him as she observed him from a distance. She convinced Tim to bring her into the Underworld, where she spent two hours before Tim went back to take her home. Only Tim and her knows what happened there, and even Tim wonders if she told him the whole truth about her two hours spent there.

Goals:

Little is known of her goals. She rarely reveals her mind to the rest of the Cabal, being almost like a ghost inhabiting the house and taking care of it while the rest of the Cabal is either away or too busy to take care of it. She does have the wellfare of the Cabal at heart, giving them her help whenever they needed it.
